As an LGBTQ+ photographer, what better way to celebrate our community than photos like these!!
In April & May last year I decided that one of the best things I can do as an LGBTQ+ photographer, to help support the community that I am lucky enough to be a part of, was to offer free photoshoots to help boost representation and of course show some love!!
After putting out an Instagram post and some stories explaining my idea, so many people jumped at the opportunity to grab some photographs with their lover and families! And who wouldn’t?!
It is so easy in this life we live, to settle for selfies on our phones or quick 10 second timer posed photos! The feeling of knowing you need to take a quick photo to remember a moment or just because you haven’t taken one together for a while!
I know exactly what this is like, my wife and I are exactly the same!!
Taking a moment to truly be where your feet are, with your significant other and HAVE FUN is the best way to get photos! And that is exactly what these 4 sets of lovers are about to show you!

India & Sarah
India (She/Her) & Sarah (She/Her) were super excited about their photo session but also a little nervous (which is super normal by the way)! They had been together for just over a year and neither are particularly inclined to grab their phones out for selfies – which made these photos even more special!

This is what India & Sarah had to say after I sent over their full gallery:
“Omg!!! These are so cute!! You’ve done a brilliant job considering we were so nervous honestly you’re so brilliant at your job it was a pleasure. They’re so amazing! Mollie you’ve been phenomenal!”

Alix & Chan
Alix (She/Her) & Chan (She/Her) were both super excited for their LGBTQ+ photo session, they had never had a photoshoot as a couple before and were a bit anxious about how to pose and looking too ‘rigid’! I reassured them it was all about the two of them and just having fun and being themselves! And look at how much fun they had!!

This is what they said once I sent over their full gallery:
“They are amazing, we love them sooooo much. Cannot wait to share more of them. Thank you for the lovely photoshoot, you made us feel so comfortable and calm. We had a really lovely time and appreciate you giving back to the community so much. Thank you again xxx”

Oliver & Jay
Oliver (He/They/She) & Jay (He/Him) had been saving up to have a photoshoot together and happened to come across my Instagram at the exact right time! Again, they were both a bit nervous but excited to have fun together and show off their love! Having an LGBTQ+ photographer was super important to them, especially as Oliver is also a photographer and understands how important it is to feel comfortable.

Here is what Olly & Jay thought about their photos:
“oh my god!!!!! mollie these are beautiful!! getting a little teary i can’t lie :’) im actually speechless these are literally beyond amazing thank you so much! we just looked through them and we’re both so incredibly happy!!! jay wants to thank again for being so amazing and kind and taking beautiful pictures of us!”

Meg & Felicity
Meg (She/Her) & Felicity (She/Her) wanted to turn their photo session into one for the family, and what better place to go than the arcade!! The only ‘professional’ photos they have had together was from their wedding, so they were excited to enjoy themselves together as a family and have that captured!

This is what they said after I sent over their super fun full gallery:
“omg they’re so cute!!! we love them, thank you so much for today! They’re adorable, thank you so much!!”
Why Should I Book A LGBTQ+ Photo Session?
If these photo sessions haven’t convinced you on their own, maybe you need a bit more of a nudge!
The best thing about booking in with me, your very own LGBTQ+ photographer, is that I am up for anything! Want to run through the woods in the rain – let’s do it! Feel like grabbing a coffee, chilling in the cafe and wandering around the park – I’m there! Rather stay at home, make pizza and have a drink on the sofa – I’m your girl!
Your photo session can be anything you want it to be, anything that helps to capture the fun and love between you, your lover/ family/ dog/ self! Your photo session can freeze time in a way nothing else can!
Now are you tempted?
Head on over to my photo session page on my website to get booked in or to just enquire and see what we can come up with together!

One Last Thing.. Why You Should Book Me – An LGBTQ+ Photographer!
I believe that everyone should have photos that make them laugh & smile & cry! It’s my job to make you feel comfortable, to be inclusive, to create that safe space to be exactly who YOU are and I believe that is how to get the best photos. It isn’t about the most artistic shot, or the perfectly positioned photograph. It’s about capturing a feeling, so strong that you will forever be able to feel it through that picture.
