LGBTQ+ Wedding Photographer | Dreamy Cornish Celebration

Mrs. & Mrs. Davis: A Joyful Spring Celebration | LGBTQ+ Wedding Photographer in Cornwall

On the 5th of April 2025, under the golden spring sun and blooming daffodils, Kelly and Helen—now proudly Mrs. and Mrs. Davis—tied the knot in the most beautiful and joy-filled celebration at Treseren in Cornwall. As an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer, it’s moments like these that remind me just how powerful and meaningful love stories can be—especially when they are lived and shared openly, joyfully, and unapologetically!

This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a celebration of authenticity, chosen family, laughter, and the kind of connection that fills every photo with warmth.

A Springtime Wedding Full of Meaning

Originally planned for August, Kelly and Helen brought their wedding forward to April, hoping for a sunny spring day—and they got exactly that! Blue skies stretched across the Cornish landscape as I arrived at Treseren. The daffodils in full bloom and the first signs of bluebells peeking through. The energy in the air was electric!

Both brides got ready separately with their bridesmaids. Kelly wore a stunning white dress, and Helen wore a pale yellow tailored suit with a beautiful corset detail. Their flowers were perfectly prepped and waiting downstairs, a colourful reminder of the celebration ahead.

A First Look & Ceremony Under the Walnut Tree

One of the most emotional moments of the day came early. A private first look at the bottom of Treseren’s gorgeous staircase. Despite her reputation for keeping things cool, Helen shed a few tears the moment she saw Kelly. It was heartfelt, emotional, and beautiful—a memory etched in both their minds (and my camera roll)!

They walked hand in hand down the aisle together, following their bridesmaids and their two beloved Boston Terriers. They were ready to say “I do” under Treseren’s iconic walnut tree. A Celtic reading, meaningful vows, exchanged rings, and a confetti-filled exit set the tone for a day filled with love and authenticity.

Champagne, String Quartets & Sand Dunes

After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with drinks and canapés on the terrace. This was accompanied by a string quartet and surrounded by the people who love them most. After family photos in front of the house, we explored the lush grounds for some couple portraits before heading to Crantock Beach.

There, Kelly and Helen let loose. Running through sand dunes, laughing, cuddling, and soaking in every moment of their first day as wives. These are the kinds of moments I live to capture—real, unfiltered, full of connection and joy! True laughter, true love & true moments.

Personal Touches & A Laid-Back Evening

Returning to Treseren, the evening unfolded with even more thoughtful details. Then each guest received a handmade crocheted character of themselves as a wedding favour. A standout personal touch! Cocktails flowed in the Loveday Bar, followed by speeches around the table and a delicious family-style BBQ dinner.

As the sun began to set, they toasted marshmallows, played fetch with the dogs, and simply soaked in their new reality as a married couple!

As an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer, getting to document weddings like Kelly and Helen’s isn’t just about the photos. It’s about celebrating love in all its forms. Their wedding was a reminder that love is not just something you say, but something you live—out loud, with your whole heart!

If you’re planning your own LGBTQ+ wedding and want someone to document the day with heart, honesty, and a deep love for capturing real moments—I’d be honoured to be part of your story.
