12 Wedding Vendors In South West England Every Couple Should Know

The wedding planning process can be the most fun thing ever … or it can leave you confused and frazzled! Putting together a wedding can be like herding cats, with so many moving pieces – so one of the biggest tips I can give you is to find quality wedding vendors in South West England to work with. With the help of capable, talented and just all-round lovely vendors, your wedding will be silky-smooth with everything unfolding just as you’ve imagined it.

And where do you find these amazing wedding suppliers? They’re actually right in our own backyard! As a local South West England wedding photographer, I have the pleasure of meeting and working with lots of amazing people in our industry and would love to recommend some of my favourites to help you plan your incredible day. These superstars are so passionate about weddings and understand the industry inside and out, so you can have complete confidence that they’ll be by your side all throughout the wedding journey.

Here are a few wedding vendors in South West England that I just can’t get enough of!

1. Videographer: Blooming Moments Films

Hiring a videographer is such a great complement to your photos, since a wedding video allows you to relive those sweet moments of the day over and over. I can highly recommend Blooming Moments Films — not only are they incredibly talented, but they’re just so much fun to be around. And, we work so well together — your photography and videography dream team, at your service!

They’ll shoot your day without getting in your day and they’re so skilled and capturing those tiny candid moments that you never want to forget.

2. Caterer: Kernowforno

Hey, everyone’s gotta eat! If your venue doesn’t offer catering, Kernowforno is one of the best wedding caterers in South West England. They’re a really fun spin on a food truck, but with delicious wood-fired pizzas cooked in their own pizza oven — which comes to you! This makes for casual, tasty and easy catering for you and your guests, but they can also provide all of the yummy extras like fresh salads, hummus and sharing boards. They’re owned by a local husband and wife that specialise in events and really go above and beyond each and every time.

Why not skip the formal dinner expense and give guests what they actually want — pizza! Seriously, the looks on your guests’ faces when they realise all-you-can-eat pizza is coming their way is something I’ll definitely be there to photograph!

3. Florist: 3Acreblooms

The right flowers can turn even the simplest of venues into a magical fairy tale — not to mention the importance of nailing the bouquet! Local florist 3Acreblooms literally understand the assignment each and every time, with dreamy flowers in the perfect colours making them the best wedding florists in South West England.

If you’re looking for local South West wedding flowers, you can’t go past 3Acreblooms. They’re all about sustainability and using local blooms, freshly grown by the lovely owner Emily in her garden. Each arrangement is created with such love and care, with gorgeous designs that you’ll not only love but that will look beautiful in your wedding photos.

4. Makeup: Balance of Beautee

Because makeup is such a personal thing, it’s so important to find a MUA that’s not only a magician with a mascara wand, but is someone who listens and takes the time to craft a look that suits exactly what you’re after.

That’s why I love Anna of BalanceofBeautee — she’s one of the best bridal makeup artists in the South West for her friendly, caring approach to each client. Whether you want something natural or super glam, Anna is always a true pleasure to work with and I love seeing the unique looks she comes up with for each wedding.

5. Hair: Pippa Hair Serendipity

One of the best wedding hair stylists in the South West is Pippa of Pippa Hair Serendipity. She not only does colour so well, but she always delivers those dreamy soft waves, loose braids, and messy buns that look so modern, elegant, and also photograph really well.

Pippa does plenty of weddings and can create an incredible look for you and your bridal party, and she can even with makeup too.

6. Musician: Manuka

Which South West wedding bands really rock the house? The right musician can make all the difference in getting everyone out of their chairs and onto the dance floor (yep, even grandad!), so find a band or DJ that you love for your wedding reception.

Manuka is an incredible choice for weddings, as her acoustic covers are upbeat, fun and will really make your guests start tapping their toes.

However, I also can’t get enough of Basher Tate, a South West England wedding band that’s always in high demand. Based in Devon, this live wedding band always delivers the favourites that will appeal to your mates and also your parents — with a wide range of rock and pop classics, tried and true wedding classics.

7. Dog Sitter: Wedding Day Dog Nanny

There’s nothing I love more than when couples include their pups in part of their wedding day celebrations. Our beloved four-legged friends are part of the family, and, let’s face it, the life of every party! Does my heart melt a little each time a couple includes their pet in their photos? Yes, yes it does.

But sometimes you need an extra hand on your wedding day when it comes to the logistics of transporting your pup to your photo shoot location or you need someone to help care for your pup during the reception. I absolutely love the Wedding Day Dog Nanny for this, as they’re not only fully insured, but they love each dog they care for as their own — giving them plenty of love, care and treats!

8. Wedding Decor: Emily Rose Events Hire

Here’s an insider tip — you actually don’t need to spend a fortune on buying loads of wedding decorations that you’ll only ever use once! Instead, work with a pro like Emily Rose Events Hire to style your wedding with ease.

From artificial florals to venue decorations, Emily Rose can do it all — a much more affordable and sustainable option than buying everything new. I also love Emily Rose for their creativity and style — each wedding they do looks like it belongs in a bridal magazine and they’re my fav for wedding decor in South West England. They’ll assist with setting up and taking down too, which will save you plenty of time.
